Wizz Air Resumes Its Middle East Flights from Budapest
Good news for anyone planning a trip to the Middle East this autumn or winter. 🌍 From late September Wizz Air is gradually resuming four of its Middle East services from Budapest, which means Amman, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Jeddah will once again be reachable with a direct flight from the Hungarian capital.
📅 When do the flights return?
The airline is restoring the previously suspended routes in stages:
- Budapest–Amman: from 22 September, 3 flights a week
- Budapest–Abu Dhabi: from 25 October, 4 flights a week
- Budapest–Dubai: from 25 October, 5 flights a week
- Budapest–Jeddah: from 27 October, 3 flights a week
Thanks to the returning services, travellers heading to Jordan, the United Arab Emirates or Saudi Arabia from Budapest once again have several options to choose from. 🏙️
Why are the flights returning now?
According to Wizz Air, the decision followed a review of the EASA recommendations on conflict zones, together with the airline's own operational and safety assessments.
At the same time, the airline continues to monitor the situation and may review the operation of the flights if necessary.
☀️ More Middle East flights in the winter schedule
It is not only the four Budapest routes that are returning. In its winter schedule Wizz Air is restoring services to Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on 12 routes with 49 weekly flights.
The wider choice may be particularly welcome for those looking for a warmer destination during the colder months, or planning a Middle Eastern city break. 🧳
🚗 Worth arranging parking before departure
If you arrive at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport by car, it is worth deciding about parking in good time while organising the trip. With a parking space booked in advance you do not have to look for a free spot on the day of departure, and the airport transfer takes you comfortably to the terminal. 🚐
Whether the destination is Amman, Abu Dhabi, Dubai or Jeddah, a calm departure counts for a lot before a longer journey. ✈️
